Thomas Horatio Pollard, the first child of Thomas & Ada Pollard, was born c1884
(He is recorded as in attendance at his mother’s death in 1936). On April 29th 1911 at St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Castle Road, Scarborough, Tom married Ada Mary Beatson (born c1882). |

On 20th July 1936 Connie married Charles Lown Wardle who was born in Southwick, Sunderland Co. Durham. They were married at Scarborough Parish Church. Connie and Charlie had one child :- |
Linda Wardle |
born on 7th June 1947 at Newington (Kingston upon Hull).On December 30th 1972 at St Andrew's United Reformed Church in the London Borough of Ealing, Linda married Jan Gerbrand Waaning of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, they moved to The Netherlands in January 1973 and have lived there ever since. They have four children, one boy (the eldest) and three girls. |
During the First World War Thomas served in the army & is mentioned in an article in the Scarborough Evening News in 1915. |
Sadly Ada died young of tuberculosis and Tom, Alan & Constance then lived with Tom's mother Ada Sophia . On 28th December 1938 at St Mark's Church, Newby in the parish of Scalby, Scarborough, Tom married widow Edith Mathilda Goth, (born 1874, daughter of James Snowball). |
