ELIZA SUNLEY (1841 - 1913)

On the 30th May 1841 ELIZA STUBBS was born at Ruston,
the daughter of Robert and Ann Stubbs.
She was christened at nearby Wykeham Church on the 1st June 1841.

In 1868 Eliza was working in service at Osgodby near Scarborough,
when she met PAUL SUNLEY. 
They were married at Scarborough Register Office on the 17th October 1868.

They had six children, all born at Lebberston: -
SARAH

Mary Ann  
Born 1870
Maria Julia
Born 1873
Robert Stubbs
Born 1873
Jane Elizabeth
Born 1875
Emma
Born 1878

Eliza survived her husband and moved to a cottage in Main Street Gristhorpe, where she died in 1913 at the age of 72.  She was buried at St Oswald's Churchyard Filey on the 26th August 1913.
